Radu Gruescu is a Partner at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Since joining CIP in 2017, he has been Partner in Charge for investments across various European markets, with a focus on onshore wind, solar PV, battery storage and transmission assets. He currently leads CIP’s investment activities in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa as part of the firm’s Growth Markets strategy.
Prior to joining CIP, Radu Gruescu was a Director at Terra Firma Capital Partners with responsibility for its European renewable energy investments, including Infinis Energy (UK) and RTR Rete Rinnovabile (Italy). Before that he worked for Centrica plc, where he led several investments and transactions across various energy technologies.
Radu Gruescu started his career in 2002 in J.P. Morgan’s Energy & Power investment banking group in London, with a focus on M&A, IPO and corporate finance transactions. He holds a degree of Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur with focus on Electrical Engineering from the Darmstadt University of Technology.
